Good morning #idreamofkeppel #greatkeppelislandhideaway lovers, hope you are all enjoying our blog sessions and you find them interesting and entertaining. I am part of the reception team here at the hideaway and as a local living in Yeppoon, as opposed to our other ladies, 1 lives on the island permanently….(we do not let her leave in case she doesn’t come back) and the other is lucky enough to live on her boat and moves around the island as she pleases, I travel back and forth weekly with our sister business Keppel Konnections. For those of you who are not in the know we have the boat ‘Calipo’ which is under the captaincy of the ever efficient Fergie, Rod and on some occasions young Dan. The boys depart the marina daily at 9 am and 2pm on the dot from the red birth, do not be late or you will be waiting for the next boat, and the island at 10 am and 3 pm and seriously I don’t think there would be too many people concerned if they missed the boat leaving the island.
All the guys on the boat are very helpful and accommodating in making you feel welcome and try to keep you as comfortable as possible and are a wealth of knowledge on the area, ask them a question they don’t know and the will find out for you.
Your luggage eskys cases of beer crates of food sups and whatever else you think you may need for a day trip or a week are professionally handled and delivered to your accommodation for collection by Goodo. We might add no esky is permitted back on the boat unless it is EMPTY!!! Food is fineJ.
However there is plenty of food alcohol and places to hire all your water sports equipment if you just want to bring a change of undies and travel light, highly recommended…don’t forget to pack your toothbrush! Oh wait we sell those too.
So that’s just a little bit of a run down on the boys and the boat, we hope you get yourself booked on and come visit us, and don’t forget now the school holidays are over we are back with the Beer Boat and Burger promotion……do yourselves a favour and get on it!!
Until our next adventure…
