It’s all go here at Great Keppel Island Hideaway, and we cannot wait to share all our exciting up-coming projects with you.
Firstly, our “Reef Rooms” are under-going a make-over and renaming process to become our “Garden Rooms”. They will be air-conditioned over the next week and with a fresh lick of paint, will be set to welcome our guests for the busy Easter period. This is exciting news for us here in reception, as we so often hear that air-conditioning is game-changer in holiday planning, so an additional 10 rooms is fantastic.
The Garden rooms are not our only style of accommodation under-going a face-lift, and anyone that has stayed with us would recognise those 3 magical numbers, 10, 11 & 12. These incredibly popular beachfront cabins boast spectacular views over our magnificent Putney beach. (Okay so I’m pretty passionate about our views – I’ll tone it down!) We joke in reception that all we need is thirty additional 10, 11 & 12’s and we’d be set, so maintenance have taken our wish and made it their command. Their next project is to remove the kitchenettes from cabins 6, 7 & 8 and build a veranda on the beach side of the cabins. Yes, that’s right, an additional 3 beachfront units. This means if you were disappointed by missing out previously, you may now have a beachfront cabin by default!
We also have a newbie in our rental pool, “The Hideaway House” (HH among friends).
Located next door to our A-frame house, HH is made up of 2 Queen Bedrooms, both with air-conditioning, and a bunk bed in the kitchenette. Sleeping 6 and a stone’s throw from Putney beach, we believe the Hideaway is the perfect spacious alternative to an Island Cabin, particularly for larger families.
